Sexual harassment in the workplace is prohibited by federal and state laws. This can include "quid pro quo" harassment where an employer or supervisor demands sexual favors in exchange for a raise or promotion, or "hostile environment" cases where the employer makes the working environment intolerable with inappropriate jokes, comments, or other offensive actions of a sexual nature.
